Doug Harmon is Co-Head of U.S. Capital Markets at Newmark, where with his partner of more than twenty years, Adam Spies, he advises on many of the largest commercial property trades in the country. The Commercial Observer ranked the pair number 17 on its 2025 Power 100, and they returned to the list in 2026.
Harmon has worked commercial real estate since 1985 and is regarded as one of the architects of the modern trophy-asset sale, having handled marquee New York office, multifamily, and mixed-use transactions across multiple cycles. He built his career at Eastdil Secured, moved to Cushman & Wakefield as Chairman of Capital Markets, and joined Newmark's New York headquarters in 2023.
