How We Choose
Selection begins with our research, not your application. Candidates are identified through independent editorial review before any contact is made.
Our Methodology
Research-Based Selection.
Broker Honors identifies candidates through public professional data, peer nominations, and submitted information. Every candidacy is evaluated under the same category-specific published criteria to determine selections.
There is no fee to be selected or to be listed. Editorial selection is independent of any optional products or services.
Signal 1
Public Professional Information: transaction or activity reporting, MLS information, and licensing or regulatory information where available.
Signal 2
Peer Nominations & Submissions: Information from colleagues, clients, and submitted information.
Signal 3
Editorial Review: evaluation against established criteria and final selection decision.
The Process
Five Stages.
Candidate Discovery
Candidates are identified through peer nominations, publicly available professional information, and submitted information. Source coverage varies by market and category.
Evaluation Standards
What We Evaluate.
Transaction Volume
Publicly reported or submitted transaction activity and sustained market participation, where reliable data is available.
Peer Recognition
Nominations, professional reputation, and other available peer or client-facing signals.
Professional Status
Publicly available licensing or regulatory information may be considered where relevant; recognition is not a current-status verification.
Market Presence
Available MLS activity, market reports, directories, and other professional sources.
Specialty Depth
Evidence of sustained focus within a defined market segment based on available professional information.
Professional Tenure
Years of substantive practice or market participation, where reliably documented.
A Note on the Word Broker
Broker Honors uses "broker" in its editorial sense, covering licensed real estate professionals across license categories; where a profile states a license category or brokerage affiliation, it is stated as the record supports it. Nomination is free and confers no advantage in evaluation. The public record is extensive but not infallible, and neither are we; verified errors are corrected promptly, and any honoree may decline inclusion at any time.
